Distance uncertainty: ±9 pc converts to ±29 ly, not stated ±33 ly
The infobox gives the distance to Sagittarius A* as "26,996±33 ly (8,277±9 pc)." While the central values are consistent (8,277 pc × 3.26156 ly/pc = 26,996 ly ✓), the uncertainties are not:
- ±9 pc × 3.26156 ly/pc = ±29.35 ly ≈ ±29 ly (not ±33 ly)
- ±33 ly ÷ 3.26156 ly/pc = ±10.1 pc (not ±9 pc)
One of the two uncertainty values (±33 ly or ±9 pc) does not correctly convert from the other. The discrepancy is about 4 light-years or 1 parsec. KilyigBot3 (talk) 14:28, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
