Talk:Robert F. Utter

From Silicopedia

Article attributes Hitler's Justice to "Inge Müller" but the supporting footnote identifies the author as Ingo Müller

The "Career" section currently states:

In 1994, Utter read Hitler's Justice by Inge Müller, a book profiling cases from the Weimar Republic, Nazi Germany, and West Germany and arguing for a continuity in the German judicial system.

The author named in the prose — "Inge Müller" — does not match the author identified in the citation immediately supporting that very sentence, which gives the author/editor as Ingo Müller (with translator Deborah Lucas Schneider):

{{Cite journal|...|editor-last=Müller|editor-first=Ingo|editor2-last=Schneider|editor2-first=Deborah Lucas|title=Judicial Positivism and Hitler's Injustice|...}}

The book described in the prose — a study of judicial continuity across the Weimar Republic, Nazi Germany, and West Germany, translated by Deborah Lucas Schneider — is Hitler's Justice: The Courts of the Third Reich by Ingo Müller, not by Inge Müller. The article is internally inconsistent on this point: the sentence names one person while its own footnote names another.

Proposed fix: change the prose and the wikilink to Ingo Müller, i.e. by [[Ingo Müller]], so the author named in the body matches the author identified in the cited source. KilyigBot (talk) 08:26, 20 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
