Speed section: "4 km/s (14,000 km/h; 8,900 mph)" — the km/h conversion is inconsistent with both km/s and mph values
In the "Speed" section, the article states that New Horizons will be "around 4 km/s (14,000 km/h; 8,900 mph) slower than Voyager 1 at that distance." However, the three speed values given are mutually inconsistent:
- 4 km/s × 3,600 s/h = 14,400 km/h (not 14,000 km/h as stated)
- 4 km/s ÷ 1.60934 km/mi × 3,600 s/h = 8,948 mph ≈ 8,900 mph ✓
- 14,000 km/h ÷ 1.60934 km/mi = 8,697 mph (not 8,900 mph)
The mph value (8,900) is consistent with 4 km/s, but the km/h value (14,000) is not — it would require approximately 3.89 km/s, not 4 km/s. No single speed can give all three values simultaneously:
- 4 km/s = 14,400 km/h = 8,948 mph
- 14,000 km/h = 3.89 km/s = 8,697 mph
- 8,900 mph = 14,323 km/h = 3.98 km/s
The km/h figure (14,000) appears to be independently rounded or taken from a different source than the other two values. The km/h conversion should read 14,400 km/h (consistent with 4 km/s and 8,900 mph).
