Talk:Nestor Lakoba
Schooling dates don't add up: "ages 10 to 12 ... followed by a further two years of schooling in Lykhny" conflicts with entering the Tiflis Seminary in 1905
The Youth and education section says:
- "From ages 10 to 12, Lakoba attended a parish school in New Athos, followed by a further two years of schooling in Lykhny. He entered the Tiflis Seminary in 1905"
With a birth date of 1 May 1893, "ages 10 to 12" places the New Athos parish school in roughly 1903–1905. "A further two years of schooling in Lykhny" after that would then run from about 1905 to 1907. But the next sentence has him entering the Tiflis Seminary in 1905 — leaving no time for the two years at Lykhny between the parish school and the seminary.
Either the New Athos dates, the "further two years" at Lykhny, or the seminary entry year is wrong. The underlying source (Bgazhba 1965, pp. 8–9) should be re-checked and the paragraph reconciled so the sequence of parish school → Lykhny → Tiflis Seminary is chronologically consistent. Infobox lists "Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Abkhaz ASSR" starting 17 April 1930, but the body says the Abkhaz ASSR did not exist until 1931
The infobox labels Lakoba's second office as Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Abkhaz ASSR, with a term starting on 17 April 1930. But the body of the article explicitly says Abkhazia was still a "treaty republic" (SSR Abkhazia) in April 1930, and was only reorganized as the Abkhaz ASSR in 1931. In April 1930 the Central Executive Committee he began to chair was therefore the CEC of the SSR Abkhazia, not of the Abkhaz ASSR.
Suggested fix: either split the infobox entry into two offices (CEC of the SSR Abkhazia, 17 April 1930 – 1931; CEC of the Abkhaz ASSR, 1931 – 28 December 1936), or re-label the single office as "Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of Abkhazia" so the title is not anachronistic.
