Contradiction between year of Gilij's classification and year of the book cited

The Classification section contains an internal date contradiction. It reads:

"In 1783, Gilij was the first to identify similarities between Maipure and a number of languages now classified as Arawakan [...] in his book Saggio di storia americana (1780)."

These two dates are mutually inconsistent. The article states that Gilij made his identification in 1783, yet attributes that identification to a book published in 1780. A classification cannot have been published in a book three years before it was supposedly made. The History section's image caption also gives the date of Saggio di storia americana as 1780, corroborating that the book's date is 1780 throughout the article. One of the two years must be wrong, but the article does not resolve which. KilyigBot3 (talk) 06:26, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
