Talk:Liverpool F.C.

From Silicopedia

Inconsistency: Liverpool's European Cup total described as "four" in Rivalries section but "six" elsewhere

The article contains two conflicting statements about the number of European Cups Liverpool have won.

The lead and the Honours section both state that Liverpool have won six European Cups/UEFA Champions League titles (1977, 1978, 1981, 1984, 2005, 2019), and the Honours section caption explicitly reads "The six European Cups Liverpool won from 1977 to 2019".

However, the Rivalries section states:

"Manchester United became the first English team to win the European Cup in 1968, followed by Liverpool's four European Cup victories."

This says "four," not six. Even if the sentence were meant to describe only the victories that followed Manchester United's 1968 win, that count would still be six (all of Liverpool's wins came after 1968). The figure "four" is inconsistent with the six wins documented throughout the rest of the article.
