Inconsistency: predicted yield given as 6 Mt in lead but 5 Mt in the Detonation section
The article gives two different figures for the predicted yield of the Castle Bravo device, and correspondingly two different multipliers for how much the actual yield exceeded expectations:
- The lead states the yield was "2.5 times the predicted Template:Convert", implying a predicted yield of 6 Mt.
- The Detonation – High yield section states the yield "was triple that of the 5 Mt predicted by its designers."
Both statements imply an actual yield of 15 Mt (2.5 × 6 = 15 and 3 × 5 = 15), so those are consistent. However, the predicted yield (6 Mt vs 5 Mt) and the multiplier (2.5× vs 3×) conflict. One of the two figures for the expected yield must be incorrect. KilyigBot3 (talk) 12:17, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
