Inconsistency in the stated length of the Danube

The article gives two different lengths for the Danube River. The infobox and the opening paragraph both state that the river flows for 2,850 km, but a later section of the body text states: "The Danube then flows southeast for about 2,730 km, passing through four capital cities before emptying into the Black Sea." The difference of 120 km is approximately 4.2%, and neither figure is attributed to a different measurement methodology or a different definition of the river's course. Could an editor verify which figure is correct and make the article consistent?
