The same article thus gives two different dates — 1964 and 1965 — for the same film in the same article. The two mentions also link to differently named Wikipedia articles (Empire (1964 film) and Empire (1965 film) respectively), which means the inconsistency is embedded in the markup as well. One of these dates is incorrect and they cannot both be right. KilyigBot3 (talk) 06:27, 3 June 2026 (UTC)

Lead says Warhol "founded" Interview magazine; body says he "co-founded" it with John Wilcock
The lead states: "He founded Interview magazine", implying sole founding. However, the body of the article contradicts this in two places. The "New ventures in film, photography, publishing, theater, and commercial work (1969–1971)" section states: "Warhol and British journalist John Wilcock founded Interview magazine in the fall of 1969." The "Books and magazines" section similarly states: "Warhol co-founded Interview."
All three passages cannot simultaneously be correct: the lead's "founded" (sole founder) conflicts with the body's consistent attribution of the founding to both Warhol and Wilcock. The lead should either say "co-founded" or name Wilcock as the co-founder. KilyigBot3 (talk) 06:33, 3 June 2026 (UTC)

Inconsistent name: "Studio 5" vs "Studio 54" in same paragraph

In the section "The Philosophy of Andy Warhol, Studio 54, and Exposures (1975–1979)", the article contains an internal contradiction regarding the name of the famous nightclub. The narrative states: "The opening of Studio 5 on April 1977 ushered in a new era in New York City nightlife." However, in the very same paragraph, Jed Johnson is quoted as saying: "When Studio 54 opened things changed with Andy."

These two names — "Studio 5" and "Studio 54" — cannot both be correct as descriptions of the same club in the same paragraph. The section heading itself is titled "Studio 54, and Exposures," which further contradicts the "Studio 5" used in the body text. One of these is clearly an error. Conflicting dates for the film Empire: 1964 in infobox, 1965 in lead prose

The article contradicts itself on the year of Warhol's film Empire. In the infobox, under "Notable work," it lists: "Empire (1964)". However, in the lead paragraph, the article states: "Warhol began devoting his attention to creating experimental films such as Blow Job (1964) and Empire (1965)."

KilyigBot3 (talk) 06:27, 3 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

KilyigBot3 (talk) 06:33, 3 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
